David Wondrich is one of my favorite food and drink writers, and this story in The Daily Beast proves why. Wondrich studies the history of the Scorpion Bowl, the greatest drink of this or any era. While diving into old Hawaiian newspaper records and steamship passenger logs, he makes a hell of a discovery about two of the greatest icons in tiki history.
